April 2014 Newsletter

Sunday Funday - April 6
Come to our Chili Contest Fundraiser!
We are having a Chili Contest / Game Night Sunday FUNday fundraiser for the LGBT Center on April 6th at 5:00 pm.  Participants should bring a pot of their homemade chili to be judged by other participants.  Bring a game you think others would enjoy for later in the evening.  Suggested donation is $5.00 per person.

Social Group of the Month
The Powder Room is a group for trans women and people on the transfeminine spectrum.  They meet at the LGBT Center at 7pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

I will be 78 in August. I've been in a relationship for 24 years. Have my fingers in a lot of pots: Center, History Project, Team St Louis, Sage... I love my communities.

Wednesday Coffee Talks

Coffee Talks are hosted at the Center each Wednesday at 1:00pm. Recently the group attended a webinar with CenterLink, a national community of LGBT Centers concerning social media. Generally, coffee talks are used to discuss current events that affect the center.
